We are delighted to be participating in PAN Amsterdam, the pre-eminent autumn fair in The Netherlands for fine art and antiques. We will be exhibiting our fine collection of Chinese and Japanese art, with a touch of inspirational styling by Roel Marius Brouwer.

Prof. Dr. Chirstiaan Jörg - Chinese & Japanese Porcelain in the Frits Lugt Collection

This book is the long awaited new catalogue raisonné of the impressive Frits Lugt collection, housed at the Custodia Foundation in Paris. Each of the 125 pieces, are illustrated, described and placed in a scholarly context. Christiaan Jörg will be personally signing copies of the book in our stand.

Go and See... Delving into the Porcelain Cabinet

Fraeylamaborg, Slochteren | 7 October 2023 - 25 February 2024

The Fraeylamaborg houses the impressive collection of Chinese porcelain and glass from the Jan Menze van Diepen Collection. This exhibition delves into the enduring Dutch passion for Chinese porcelain.

Dragon Panels

China, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644)

H: 37 cm. | L: 175 cm.

Provenance: Private Collection, The Netherlands

A set of three architectural tile-work panels depicting a writhing dragon amongst foliage and peony flowers. Moulded in high relief, the panels are glazed in yellow and green for a striking effect. These panels would have been part of a decorative frieze on a building.

Lu Dongbin

Chine, Late Ming Dynasty, early 17th Century

H: 40.4 cm.

Provenance: Baron & Baronesse Vaxelaire Collection, Belgium

This turquoise glazed porcelain figure, represents one of the seven Daoist immortals. Lu Dongbin is often depicted as a handsome scholar.
